Food Processing Technician
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Food Processing Technician to join our team in a dynamic food processing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the processing, packaging, and quality assurance of food products while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Processing Operations:
Operate and monitor machinery used in food processing, ensuring equipment is running efficiently.
Prepare raw ingredients for processing, including washing, cutting, and mixing as needed.
Quality Control:
Conduct regular inspections of products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
Document and report any discrepancies or concerns regarding product quality.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including sanitation and food safety practices.
Participate in regular safety training and drills.
Maintenance:
Perform routine cleaning on processing equipment and report any mechanical issues to the supervisor.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other team members to achieve production goals.
Assist in training new staff in processing techniques and safety protocols.
Miscellaneous Tasks:
Light construction includes, but not limited to, rearranging the operations facilities, moving equipment
Assisting contractors as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in food science or a related field preferred.
Previous experience in food processing or manufacturing is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift to 50lbs.
Willingness to work in varying temperatures and conditions typical of a food processing environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the processing, packaging, and quality assurance of food products, while working alongside staff as necessary, while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Processing Operations:
Operate and monitor machinery used in food processing, ensuring equipment is running efficiently.
Prepare raw ingredients for processing, including washing, cutting, and mixing as needed.
Quality Control:
Conduct regular inspections of products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
Document and report any discrepancies or concerns regarding product quality.
